About the Assignment

At Novare, we are proud and approved suppliers under the Swedish government's framework agreement. We are now seeking an Economist for Chalmers in Gothenburg.

As an Economist at the agency, you will act as an advisor on financial matters to managers and project leaders. The role also includes budgeting, accounting, forecasting, follow-up, and analysis. You will become an integral part of the agency's work and contribute to its continued development.

We are looking for you who have strong analytical skills. You are cooperative, communicative, and have a good work structure.

Examples of key responsibilities

• Advising managers and project leaders on financial matters.
• Ensuring proper accounting in accordance with internal and external regulations.
• Budgeting, follow-up, forecasting, and analysis of projects and operations.
• Financial project reporting to funders.
• Participation in the institution's budgeting and accounting work.
• Interpretation of terms from funders and other contracting parties.

Requirements for the position

• Qualified experience in financial work.
• Experience with accounting, budgeting, and annual accounts.
• Experience working with financial and administrative support systems.
• Good oral and written proficiency in Swedish and English.

Preferred qualifications

• Previously documented experience in responsibility for entire financial processes.
• Experience with project reporting.
• Qualified work within higher education/universities.
• Experience with EU accounting.
• Experience with the systems Raindance and Hypergene.

Assignment period and scope

The assignment is full-time for the period of August 26 – July 2, 2027, with the possibility of extension. The location is at the agency in Gothenburg, with some possibility for remote work.
