The Employment and Education Administration has a joint responsibility for integration, employment, education, and occupation issues affecting our municipality's residents. The administration is also responsible for the Music School and food supply, as well as fulfilling tasks related to the medical and psychological aspects of student health services in municipal preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary schools, upper secondary schools, and adapted upper secondary schools.

With approximately 800 students and 150 staff members, Björknäsgymnasiet is one of Boden's largest workplaces and growth hubs. The school is centrally located in Boden with nature right around the corner, and everything is close by! We consist of 5 school units plus an adapted upper secondary school. We offer 11 national programs, including vocational and preparatory programs as well as introduction programs. Björknäsgymnasiet is also an authorized IB school (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme). We are accredited within Erasmus+ and are active in numerous international projects.

About the Position

We are currently looking for a resource teacher for our introduction programme. As an employee in our administration, you will work alongside competent colleagues who show respect and tolerance, whose high engagement creates joy and pride in work. Together, we focus on continuously improving our operations.

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a resource teacher in the introduction programme and thrives on variety, challenges, and making a difference every day. In this role, you will support students with special needs, social challenges, or learning difficulties. Your goal is to create structure, help the student keep up with the teaching, and promote a safe learning environment. The work often takes place in the classroom or in small groups, alternatively individually. You collaborate daily with teaching teachers and special needs educators.

As a resource teacher with us, you are an important part of the daily operations of the introduction programme. You need to be flexible and adapt your day based on the students' needs. Your responsibilities include:

• Providing support during lessons and breaks.
• Working with clear pedagogy and structure.
• Promoting students' social and emotional development.
• Collaborating with teachers, special needs educators, and guardians.
• Contributing to creating a predictable, safe, and accessible learning environment.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children/students with autism or other neuropsychiatric functional variations.
• Is calm, receptive, and able to create structure and clarity.
• Is flexible, responsible, and works well in a team.
• Has good communication skills in both speech and writing.

Meritorious:

• Knowledge and experience regarding low-affective handling.
• Experience with clear pedagogy.
• Experience from primary/upper secondary school or adapted school.

We are looking for someone who is clear and has good collaboration skills, with a willingness to share your knowledge and experiences. You have a good ability to build relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You take care of the students' interests and develop them further through both practical and theoretical work throughout the student's entire day.

Personal suitability is highly valued. Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis.

Duration: The position is currently until the end of the autumn term but may potentially be extended. 3–6 months.

Working hours: 75–100 %.
