We are now looking for both residents (ST-läkare) and assistant doctors (underläkare) in child and adolescent psychiatry. With us, you become part of a cohesive and engaged medical team consisting of 15 senior consultants and 5 residents - and we want to grow. Currently, we are implementing a special initiative to develop the unit's working methods, educational environment, and clinical workflows, including through our "gaffelmottagning" (co-consultation clinics). As a doctor with us, you will therefore become an important part of the future of BUP. BUP Örebro offers a broad child psychiatric mandate with outpatient care, emergency services, and inpatient care. We also have a close collaboration with the medical education at Örebro University, which creates good opportunities for teaching, supervision, and academic development. We offer:

As a doctor in our operation, you work with standard child and adolescent psychiatric tasks such as diagnostics, investigations, treatment, and follow-up of children and adolescents with psychiatric conditions. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other professions and always with access to supervision from an experienced specialist doctor. The content of the position is shaped based on the BUP operation where you are placed and adapted to your experience and development level. You will have the opportunity to serve in different parts of BUP's operations - outpatient care, emergency services, and inpatient care - and to handle and assess acute psychiatric conditions under supervision. For you as a resident, the assignment is also formed based on your individual training plan, with the goal of achieving broad and solid specialist competence.

We actively work to strengthen the educational environment for doctors. Among other things, we are developing regular co-consultation clinics, where residents and assistant doctors have direct patient visits together with senior consultants. The purpose is to increase the possibility of clinical supervision in real-time, structured feedback, and in-depth competence development. You become part of a cohesive medical team directly subordinate to the chief physician, with regular supervision and the opportunity to participate in development work. For those interested, there is also the possibility to participate in research and teaching-related projects.

The employment is a fixed-term appointment for residency (ST) for six months with the possibility of extension, and the service can be credited towards a future residency position in child and adolescent psychiatry.

We are looking for both residents and assistant doctors:

Residents (ST-läkare)

You are a licensed doctor with an interest in child and adolescent psychiatry. Experience in psychiatry, child psychiatry, pediatric medicine, primary care, or work with children and young people is meritorious but not a requirement.

Assistant Doctors (Underläkare)

You are a doctor before or after licensure, or a medical student after semester 9 with approved courses and exams (for those studying the new medical program, approved semester 10 is required).

For both roles, great importance is placed on personal suitability. We are looking for you who have good collaboration and communication skills, a professional approach towards patients, relatives, and colleagues, and a desire to develop in the role of a doctor and future specialist. Your competence is important for the development of our operation.
