Do you want to work close to healthcare and contribute to a safe and efficient medicine supply for the county's hospitals? We are now looking for a pharmacist or dispensing chemist for the Hospital Pharmacy within Region Örebro County.

The position is primarily based at the University Hospital in Örebro, but you must also be prepared for regular work at Lindesberg or Karlskoga hospitals one or several days a week.

As a pharmacist with us, you will become part of a hospital pharmacy run by the region itself. This means short decision-making paths, close collaboration with healthcare providers, and great opportunities to influence and develop working methods and processes. The Hospital Pharmacy has just over 30 employees and is part of the Medicines Centre's operations. In total, we are over 70 colleagues working for the best possible medicine use in Region Örebro County. The responsibilities include, among other things:

• medicine supply to all hospitals in the county
• medicine service on the hospital wards
• sterile manufacturing of medicines and preparation of cytostatics

There may also be opportunities to combine the role with administrative tasks depending on the needs of the operation and your interests. We try to offer roles with varied tasks because it is important to understand the whole picture of medicine supply and for a good work environment. Some tasks involve repetitive moments, which is why we see variation as particularly important.

Working hours are primarily scheduled on weekdays between 07:00–17:00. Weekend work may occur on special occasions and in connection with long weekends. For experienced manufacturing pharmacists, on-call duties are included for approximately six weeks per year.

We are looking for you who are a licensed dispensing chemist or pharmacist. For those who are dispensing chemists, manufacturing competence (ex tempore training) is meritorious. If you lack such experience, we prefer that you have an interest and willingness to educate yourself in this area in the future. Training in sterile manufacturing can be offered partly during working hours.

Working at a hospital pharmacy requires that you are confident in your role and can work independently, while collaboration within the team and with different professions is important. You should work in a structured and quality-conscious manner while delivering within deadlines every day.
