We are looking for you who want to work in home care during the summer

Timrå Municipality is looking for you who wants to work as a substitute in home care this summer. We are primarily looking for you who want a scheduled shift with work shifts planned during the day, evenings, and weekends, with an average weekly working time of 37 hours.

Within Timrå Municipality, we have six home care groups and one night patrol, and now we are looking for summer substitutes for three of the groups where you will be driving a car and therefore need a driver's license.

Your tasks include, among other things:

Care can include tasks such as:

  • Hygiene and support during toilet visits
  • Dressing
  • Cleaning and laundry
  • Meal preparation/feeding

Delegated tasks you may perform:

  • Medication administration
  • Insulin administration
  • Tube feeding
  • Wound care
  • Catheter care

In your work, you help people in their homes. The user's needs and approved interventions determine your tasks.

When you start, you will receive training for several days/evenings with experienced staff. You are offered a mandatory introductory education and, depending on your experience, also a medication education.

To work in home care, delegation for medication administration is a requirement.

Summer bonus, travel compensation, and wellness allowance

Conditions for summer bonus of 6,000 SEK.

  • You must work consecutively for eight weeks during one of these periods, which period depends on the operational needs. Week 23-30, week 24-31, week 25-32, or week 26-33.
  • You may have a maximum of one instance of sick leave for up to five days.
  • You must also work equivalent to at least 75% during these eight weeks.

Travel Compensation

A travel allowance of 50 SEK is paid for each workday performed, provided you have worked 10 shifts or more during an eight-week period.

You also receive a wellness allowance.

Qualifications and Recruitment Process

We are looking for you who are responsible, receptive, have a good attitude towards people, and find it easy to collaborate. You also need to have a desire to make the day as good as possible for the users through your work.

Education in healthcare and/or previous experience from work in healthcare and social care is meritorious.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement as the job requires oral and written reporting in our journal system as well as communication with users and colleagues in the team. Mandatory language test for candidates who proceed in the recruitment process.

For reference checks, you need to provide a previous manager or supervisor whom you have/had. Teachers, coaches, or mentors can serve as references for those currently in school.

  • We check citizenship and ID. If you are not a citizen of Sweden or another country in the EU/EEA or Switzerland, you need to show that you have residence and work permits. You also need to have a valid Swedish ID document.
  • Bring grades and diplomas. If you are trained as an assistant nurse, we want to see proof of protected professional title.
  • To make employment possible, you need to present a valid extract from the criminal record register. Order via the police website, "Work in the home with elderly and people with disabilities". If your extract is without remarks, you will receive it via Kivra. If you have any remarks in the register, you will receive it in an envelope to be handed over unopened to us, and it must not be older than two months. See the link below to order the extract.

To be considered for the position, you may need to: • present a valid ID document • if necessary, prove education with grades or diploma • show that you have the right to work in Sweden through a valid work permit • if necessary, present a valid driver's license • if necessary, present a valid professional license.
