Strategic Purchaser for Region Sörmland and Region Västmanland

About Us

Do you want to make a difference in an organization where procurement contributes to the public good? We are looking for strategic purchasers to join a modern, category-managed procurement team working with tenders for Region Sörmland and Region Västmanland.

Your Responsibilities

As a strategic purchaser, you lead the entire procurement process – from needs analysis to contract follow-up. You drive commercial dialogues, ensure efficient purchasing, and act as an expert in procurement law, strategy, and collaboration. The role is both strategic and operational, with opportunities to develop the content based on experience and interest.

Organization and Workplace

You will be part of the procurement unit with approximately 25 employees and work in category-managed teams. The procurement operations cover about 45 people and are responsible for tenders equivalent to 9 billion SEK annually. We are located in Nyköping, Katrineholm, Eskilstuna, and Västerås, working closely with the operations to create efficient resource utilization.

Your Qualifications

You have relevant education or experience as well as knowledge within purchasing and public procurement (LOU/LUF). Good Swedish skills in speech and writing are required.

Meritorious:

• Independently conducted tenders
• Experience in market analysis and business strategy
• Good English

Employment Terms

Permanent, full-time. Possible locations are Eskilstuna, Nyköping, Katrineholm, and Västerås. Start date and location by agreement. Since you support operations in both Sörmland and Västmanland, travel for work may be relevant.
