Do you want to contribute to an equal world where the rights of LGBTQI+ people are respected? Do you have a strong commercial drive, love building new relationships, and are motivated by closing deals? Then you might be the person we are looking for.

You don't give up easily. You enjoy the hunt, the phone calls, the meetings, and the challenge of opening doors where others might have given up. You know how to navigate long decision-making processes, complex procedures, and resistance – until the deal is closed.

RFSL is now looking for a forward-looking and results-oriented salesperson who wants to use their commercial drive for something bigger than just numbers. We do not work with traditional sponsorship sales or ready-made package solutions – we build long-term collaborations and partnerships that contribute to human rights, inclusion, and social change.

Your role with us

As a Key Account Manager at RFSL, you are responsible for identifying, processing, and developing new collaborations with companies and external actors. The role has a clear focus on sales, relationship building, and new customer acquisition, where you drive the entire process from first contact to negotiation, agreement, and long-term development of the partnership.

You work both strategically and operationally and are expected to actively create new opportunities and business that strengthen RFSL's operations and long-term financing.

You will become part of the Communications, Engagement, and Policy Unit and work closely with colleagues in communication, fundraising, and advocacy.

You will primarily work with:

  • Prospecting and processing new companies and collaboration partners.
  • Driving and closing strategic partnerships and deals.
  • Owning the entire sales process from first contact to signed agreement and follow-up.
  • Building and developing long-term relationships with companies and decision-makers.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and developing collaborations that create value for both RFSL and the partner.
  • Representing RFSL in meetings, networks, presentations, and external contexts.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues in communication, fundraising, and business development.
  • Working purposefully with follow-up, analysis, and development of sales results.

About you

This is the role for you if you are strongly results-oriented and motivated by creating business and achieving high targets. You enjoy cold calls, new customer acquisition, and booking meetings, and you thrive in situations that require endurance, drive, and the ability to handle resistance. You see challenges as motivating rather than discouraging and have the ability to maintain focus even in longer and more complex sales processes.

You are confident in dialogue with decision-makers, management teams, and external partners, and have very high social and communicative skills. At the same time, you are unpretentious and willing to do the work required to achieve results. You have a strong internal motor, high energy, and a natural ability to create trust, engagement, and long-term relationships.

We also believe that you are just as comfortable booking meetings via phone as you are giving presentations to groups and decision-makers. You share RFSL's values and want to use your expertise in sales and relationship building to contribute to a more inclusive society.

We assume that you stand behind RFSL's basic principles.

To succeed and thrive in the role, we see that you have:

  • Several years of experience in successful sales, Key Account Management, or other relationship-based sales.
  • Documented strong results in new sales and relationship building.
  • Experience in independently driving business processes and negotiations.
  • Very good ability to communicate and present to decision-makers and external actors.
  • Experience working purposefully and structured towards clear sales targets.
  • Very good communicative skills in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • A valid driver's license (Category B).

Meritorious experience

  • Experience working in the non-profit sector or civil society.
  • Experience in sponsorship work, fundraising, or strategic partnerships.
  • Experience in sales related to sustainability, inclusion, or corporate social responsibility.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales follow-up.
  • Experience selling to larger companies or organizations.

Terms of Employment

Employment level: Full-time

Location: RFSL's headquarters in central Stockholm, with some flexibility and remote work opportunities. Travel may occur.

Start date: As soon as possible or according to agreement, taking into account any notice period.

What we offer

At RFSL, you become part of a growing and engaged team where flexibility, professionalism, and personal responsibility are highly valued. We are an employer that prioritizes our employees' well-being and development, and we offer:

  • Meaningful and stimulating work in a dynamic environment.
  • Opportunity to influence society and business through long-term collaborations.
  • Great freedom under responsibility.
  • Pension, parental leave, and other collective agreement benefits.
  • Opportunity to influence both the role and how we develop our work forward.
  • The chance to contribute to human rights and democratic values at a time when this is more important than ever.

Other

We follow the Industry and Wage Agreement for Voluntary and Non-Profit Organizations between the Employer Alliance and Unionen/Vision/The Swedish Confederation of Professional Associations.

Send your CV by July 19. A cover letter is optional, but you will answer selection questions based on our competency-based recruitment methodology. We review applications continuously, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.

The recruitment process consists of CV screening, phone screening, digital interview, and interview at our office. A work sample test may be included. A certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) is required before employment.

We apply anonymized and competency-based recruitment, which means that your personal data and any photos are anonymous to the responsible recruiter during the CV screening.

If you have questions about the position, you can contact the Head of the Communications, Engagement, and Policy Unit at [email protected], and for questions about the recruitment process, you can contact HR Partner Tobias Jensen at [email protected].
