Your Role

As an Applications Engineer, you are the vital link between our advanced technology and the end-user's needs. You work with integrating and customizing simulation equipment, focusing on either military vehicles or infantry, where ATW (Anti-Tank Weapons) and UAV systems play a central role. The work is highly diverse, ranging from technical site visits and advanced modeling to close collaboration and testing with our customers.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Fine-tuning and calibrating simulation systems on-site so they harmonize perfectly with the customer's own systems, vehicles, or small arms.
• Evaluating how simulation equipment can best be integrated into complex environments in combat vehicles, including fire control computers, sights, intercom, and laser warning systems, and adapting systems based on specific requirements.
• Creating vulnerability profiles and simulation models that reflect real-world conditions.
• Planning and conducting tests together with the customer in their environment to ensure the highest possible quality, ergonomics, and functionality in the training systems.
• Establishing technical specifications, customer-specific test requirements, and documentation.
• Acting as an advisor in internal development projects, supporting product management and the marketing department with technical data for customer quotes.

Here, you will become part of a flat-hierarchy and supportive team where we value different perspectives, communication, and team spirit. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across the entire organization and contribute your technical expertise in both development and bidding projects.

The position involves travel, both within Sweden and internationally, to meet customers where they are located and ensure that solutions meet their needs. The number of trips varies depending on the project but is estimated to be about once a month.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who appreciate the meeting between technology and people, and who thrive in a role that combines practical tasks with administrative work. As a person, you are structured, responsible, and confident in building relationships. Since the role involves a lot of contact with our users, it is important that you are receptive and have a humble attitude with the ability to listen to others' needs. You are a team player who values supportive collaboration, both internally with your colleagues and externally in your customer relationships.

You have relevant work experience in the field, a genuine interest in technology, and a basic understanding of mechanics and electronics. It is highly meritorious if you have experience in testing activities, and if you also have a military background, we see it as a big plus. Shooting experience and a weapon license are also seen as meritorious.

We operate in an international environment, which means you need to have good knowledge of both Swedish and English. Since travel is included in the position, you also need to have a valid driver's license (Category B).

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
