Your Role

Demand for our products is increasing significantly among our customers, who are largely international companies within the defense industry. We are looking for you who want to drive our projects with the goal of keeping people and societies safe. Our project managers play a central role in the business to ensure project results and deliveries to the customer, and are responsible for the interface with our external customers.

Your responsibilities include:

• Coordinating communication with our external and internal customers.
• Creating and following up on schedules, milestones, and dependencies. Creating conditions for good collaboration within the project. Acknowledging and celebrating successes.
• Collaborating closely with stakeholders. Being active in removing any obstacles to create conditions for efficient work.
• Reporting status, risks, and deviations to the steering group.
• Leading and creating engagement, and ensuring that deliveries take place within specified cost and time frames.

Our projects are driven cross-functionally with representatives from across the organization, and you will collaborate with several internal contacts, such as internal customers, line managers, design engineers, project managers, and sub-project managers.

Your Profile

For this role, we are looking for a communicative person with strong leadership skills who has the ability to build good relationships with others. At the same time, you thrive taking full overall responsibility and have the ability to keep both technical details and project goals in focus, while being skilled at creating structure.

We would appreciate if you have prior experience in technical project management or customer projects, but most importantly, you have some form of relevant experience along with a good technical understanding and an interest in project management. We also expect you to have a relevant university or college degree, or equivalent work experience, as well as good proficiency in English.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has security classification requirements, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
