About the role

Do you want to take a key role in the development of future regional rail traffic? As Vehicle and Depot Manager at Krösatågen AB, you will have overall responsibility for leading vehicles, maintenance, and depot issues in a business with significant societal benefit. You operate at the intersection of strategy and operational reality, contributing to ensuring high operational stability, long-term value creation, and sustainable development of the vehicle fleet – while 28 new vehicles are gradually introduced into the system.

In this role, you represent the client side in forums for vehicles and depots, lead the internal vehicle management group, and collaborate closely with the operator, maintenance partner, depot owner, and owning regions. You monitor quality, deliveries, and technical issues, drive improvements in maintenance and depot structure, and ensure that the work is conducted with a long-term perspective on operations, economics, and quality.

The role reports to the CEO and is an important part of Krösatågen's management team.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have several years of experience working in vehicle management, maintenance, depots, technical operations, or similar activities. You are accustomed to working in complex environments with many contact points and have a good understanding of how technology, operations, and economics are interconnected. Experience from railways, public transport, or other critical societal functions is highly meritorious. You have clear leadership qualities and a natural ability to bring people together around common goals, while also being able to look up and see the big picture at a strategic level.

As a person, you are structured, analytical, and responsible, with the ability to build trust in collaboration with various stakeholders. You thrive on driving issues forward, making well-founded decisions, and turning analysis into concrete improvements. With a long-term perspective, you work purposefully to create sustainable results over time. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English and are experienced in working with technical systems, monitoring tools, and analytical data.

The traffic is operated on behalf of six regional public transport authorities – Region Jönköping County, Region Kalmar County, Region Kronoberg, Region Halland, Region Blekinge, and Region Skåne – and covers approximately 7.5 million train kilometers per year, serving around 80 stations. Krösatågen AB is now being formed to create clearer responsibility, stronger governance, and better conditions for the long-term sustainable development of traffic, vehicles, and operations.
