About the role
We are looking for an engaged and reliable personal assistant for a boy diagnosed with CP disability and epilepsy. He uses a wheelchair and requires 24/7 assistance. You will work scheduled shifts between 08:00–16:00 and 16:00–22:00. During daytime hours, you will accompany him to school.
Responsibilities
- Support in daily life, both at home and at school
- Assistance during outings and activities (the client has their own car)
- Social support and creating a safe environment
About you
- You are responsible, flexible, and have a good attitude towards people
- Experience in personal assistance is an advantage but not a requirement
- A valid driver's license is required (access to your own car is an advantage)
- You must be able to provide a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record)
- You are comfortable with the presence of a dog in the home

Recruitment Process
We contact candidates who are suitable for an initial interview on an ongoing basis. The position will be filled once we have found the right person, which may happen before the final application deadline. Your application will be processed by staff at Storsjöbygdens Personliga Assistans, together with the client, as well as any relatives, guardians, or other relevant parties. If the position involves working with a minor client, a certificate of good conduct is required.

At Storsjöbygdens Personliga Assistans, we strictly follow the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. This means that if you apply for a position involving work with minors, the recruitment process will include specific steps to ensure the child's wishes and needs are taken into account. Employment involving minor clients also includes training on the child's perspective.
Employment Terms
If you proceed in the recruitment process, you will need to verify your identity and prove that you have the right to work in Sweden. To sign your employment contract and time reports, you must have a BankID.
To ensure high quality in our assistance, new employees will undergo a web-based introductory training (approx. 1 hour), preferably before the start of employment but no later than one month from the start date.
