Do you want to create experiences and contexts that bring the world closer?
At the Museum of World Culture, we work to bring the world's cultures to life – with knowledge, care, and in dialogue. Our four museums in Stockholm and Gothenburg are places where history, the present, and the future meet through collections, stories, and research.
We offer public experiences that spark curiosity and reflection, create engagement with global issues, and provide new perspectives on our shared world. Here, cultural heritage, societal development, and human rights take center stage – alongside the people in our surrounding world.
We believe in working together across boundaries. Today, we are approximately 150 employees who contribute to our common mission in various ways.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role involves warmly and enthusiastically welcoming visitors to, and telling the story of, our activities at our three Stockholm museums: the Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities (Medelhavsmuseet), the Museum of Ethnography (Etnografiska museet), the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities (Östasiatiska museet), and our digital offerings. As a Museum Host, you circulate in the public areas of the museums, answer visitors' questions in person, by phone, or digitally, staff the entrance and gift shop, conduct daily public tours, and carry out visitor surveys. Additionally, you are responsible for the daily supervision of exhibitions and public spaces, and act in alarm and emergency situations. The role also includes preparation, execution, and restoration for venue rental and program activities.
As a Museum Host, you are part of a host team. You have scheduled working hours, which means working mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. You contribute with engagement and ideas and collaborate well with colleagues to best meet the needs of all visitors and offer a first-class visitor experience.
