Do you want to work with digital communication in one of Sweden's most significant art institutions? We are looking for a temporary web editor who wants to help develop and manage Moderna Museet's digital presence. In this role, you will combine content production, publishing, and user focus to create engaging and accessible experiences for the museum's visitors.

Role Description and Responsibilities

As a web editor, you are responsible for planning, producing, and publishing content on Moderna Museet's websites and digital channels. You work closely with your colleagues in the communications department and other internal operations to ensure that information and content are up-to-date, inspiring, and user-adapted. The role involves both operational and strategic work with web publishing, search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility, and the development of the digital user experience.

You will primarily:

• Create and publish editorial content for the web and newsletters
• Update and quality-assure information about exhibitions, programs, and activities
• Ensure that content follows guidelines for accessibility and tone
• Coordinate content work with internal and external partners
• Contribute to the development of Moderna Museet's digital communication and user experience.

The role is located within the communications unit, which consists of 14 employees with various specializations, and you will report to the Head of Communications. From January 1st, Statens konstråd (The Swedish Council for Building Research) and Arkdes (The Swedish Architecture and Design Museum) are part of the Moderna Museet authority. The coming period will be characterized by changes and innovation aimed at adapting the organization to the authority's new mission.

We are looking for you with:

• A university degree in communication studies or equivalent education assessed by the employer as equivalent
• Current experience working as a web editor
• Experience in project management
• Experience in creating a strategic plan for website content in sync with other channels
• Good knowledge of WordPress
• Good knowledge of digital accessibility and plain language principles
• Skills in image editing
• Very good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Skills in English, written

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience from the cultural sector

Location

Moderna Museet is located on Skeppsholmen in central Stockholm.

Employment Type and Start Date

The employment is fixed-term for approximately 9 months on a full-time basis. We would prefer that you start on August 26, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
