What does the job as an Occupational Therapist at Norlandia Elderly Care involve?
As an occupational therapist at Norlandia, you work to strengthen the residents' independence, security, and quality of life. You are responsible for occupational therapy assessments, evaluations, and interventions based on a rehabilitative and function-preserving approach.
The role includes, among other things:
- Conducting activity and function assessments
- Planning, implementing, and following up on occupational therapy interventions
- Prescribing, testing, and following up on assistive devices
- Working with fall prevention, transfers, and adaptations in the living environment
- Mentoring and educating care staff on assistive devices, ergonomics, and transfer techniques
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with other professional roles
You are part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of nurses, assistant nurses, physiotherapists, and management. The position requires significant personal responsibility and demands flexibility, teamwork, and prioritization skills.
About Slottsovalen Elderly Care Home
Slottsovalen is a small, cozy elderly care home for people with dementia. We have space for 40 pensioners. Our unique single-story premises in the pavilions of Farsta Castle allow residents to enjoy the castle's inner courtyard outdoors in all seasons. The surrounding environment is also health-promoting, with close proximity to both forest and sea!

As an occupational therapist in elderly care, you will have the opportunity to take significant personal responsibility, which requires professional competence, prioritization skills, and flexibility.
- We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist
- We appreciate that you have good knowledge of healthcare regulations
- Previous experience as an occupational therapist in elderly care is an advantage
- You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
- We appreciate that you have knowledge of documentation based on ICF and KVÅ
- We want you to have good knowledge of the national quality registers relevant to the operations
Other information
Employment type: Permanent
Hours: 50%-100% according to agreement
Start date: According to agreement
Probation period: We apply a 6-month probation period
We offer individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
In the event of employment, you must be able to provide a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (criminal record). You must also be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden, by showing EU/EEA citizenship or a valid work permit.
