Do you want to contribute to a safe and functioning railway by developing and managing working methods and regulations within signaling technology? We are looking for you who want to work with technical safety management in a national specialist role where you get to combine analysis, collaboration, and development work in matters that are crucial for the safe operation and maintenance of the railway.

Our section is responsible for work methodology, implementation and commissioning, as well as maintenance and fault correction of the signaling system.

The position involves contributing to change work and the development of working methods, regulations, and routines regarding these tasks. Additionally, it includes defining requirements for the competencies of signaling safety personnel who perform these tasks, as well as assessing competency applications.

Your main responsibilities include

• managing signaling regulations, including environmental scanning, leading further education, and monitoring compliance
• evaluating competency applications for individuals and companies
• participating in investigations of deviations/incidents/accidents within the signaling technology area

The position involves frequent contact with external parties and some domestic travel.

We are looking for someone who has

• a university degree, technical orientation, at least 180 credits, or other education and experience that we assess as equivalent
• at least one year of current and relevant work experience in risk assessment and method support
• experience in conducting investigations or developing safety-critical systems
• ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English

It is also desirable if you have

• experience working with MTO analysis (Man, Technology, and Organization) or Human Factors Engineering of safety-critical technical systems
• experience with safety planning and safety management according to the requirements in EN 50126, 50128, and 50129 and TDOK 2014:0488 (Technical Safety Management Signal, work with signaling installations)
• experience in change and development work related to safety processes and/or processes for technically approved rolling stock
• established professional contacts within technical safety management, signaling technology for railways
