We are now looking for a Project Manager/Preconstruction Coordinator within facility installations. About the Role

We are looking for a Project Manager for Coor Service Management. In this role, you are responsible for planning, preconstruction coordination, and coordination of renovations and technical installations in hospital environments. You ensure that work is carried out with the right prerequisites, quality, and safety, in close collaboration with operations, contractors, specialists, and the business.

You will become part of a prestigious and socially vital assignment: to contribute to the technical operation and development of the new Karolinska Solna hospital. This role suits you if you want to take the next step within project management, preconstruction planning, or technical coordination in a complex facility environment.

Responsibilities

In this role, you drive and coordinate small to medium-sized projects within facility installations – from planning and preconstruction to execution and handover to operations and business. The projects may, for example, involve renovations, adaptations, demolitions, or technical installations in an existing hospital environment.

You work close to daily operations and ensure that work is well-prepared before it is executed. This includes, among other things, coordinating resources, identifying risks, creating structure around the execution, and ensuring that involved parties have the right information.

Examples of tasks:

• Plan, prepare, and coordinate technical work and renovations
• Drive and coordinate small to medium-sized projects within facility installations
• Ensure that projects are executed with the right prerequisites, quality, and safety
• Collaborate with operational staff, contractors, specialists, clients, and business units
• Participate in risk assessments and contribute to safe executions in a sensitive hospital environment
• Follow up on work and ensure handover to operations and business

The hospital environment entails special requirements for planning, risk awareness, and coordination. This makes the role both developmental and important – especially for you who want to build deeper experience in technical projects in a complex and business-critical facility environment.

We are looking for someone who has

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
• Work experience from a coordinating role within, for example, facilities, construction, installation, operations, or contracting
• Good technical understanding and interest in facility installations
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working in a project-based manner
• Experience in preconstruction planning and/or risk assessment
• Understanding of operations and installations in facilities
• Experience from hospital environments, Facility Management, construction contracting, or technical administration
• Previous experience in project management, technical coordination, or site supervision

As a person, you are structured, meticulous, and confident in managing multiple contact areas. You like to create order, prepare work thoroughly, and ensure that execution works in practice. You find it easy to collaborate with different professional groups, communicate clearly, and adapt to the situation and recipient.

You do not need to be a finished project manager – but you need to have the right drive, sense of responsibility, and willingness to develop in a role where technology, planning, and coordination meet.
