It is on behalf of the government that the Swedish National Property Board (SFV) manages our shared natural and cultural heritage. We manage a variety of state-owned properties – including government buildings, courts, palaces and royal estates, theaters, museums, embassies, as well as one-seventh of the country's area consisting of forests and land.

As employees, we are proud to be employed by a government agency, to work according to the state's values and to contribute to positive societal development.

SFV International is responsible for state-owned properties abroad, such as Swedish embassies, residences and institutes. Our mission is to manage existing buildings as well as to build new ones and market contemporary Swedish architecture, design and aesthetics. Our largest tenant is the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. We are approximately 20 people working at SFV International in four different teams. Our office is located in Gamla Stan in Stockholm, but the whole world is our workplace.

Your Role

At the Swedish National Property Board, you are offered a varied role with a high degree of personal responsibility where you get to work with exciting properties where different local conditions around the world challenge your problem-solving skills. As a Technical Property Manager at SFV International, you will travel approximately 100 days per year to various locations around the world, based from the headquarters in Stockholm. You will work in a property group together with a property manager and a property economist who are responsible for approximately 15 different locations around the world. An important part of the job is to nurture our customer relationships with tenants and users together with colleagues.

Your duties include meeting with tenants and having regular check-ins with operations contractors and leading consultants. With regard to operations contractors, you are responsible for developing and following up on supervision and maintenance plans. You participate in identifying maintenance needs and monitor the implementation of the decided maintenance measures at the various locations. This means that you will project manage specific technical and construction projects. This could, for example, be the replacement of technical installations and renovations.

You are responsible for monitoring and registering energy consumption in the properties in the designated system. You should be able to analyze the results and develop proposals on how energy consumption can be reduced, as well as find fossil-free solutions and then project manage the implementation of these measures. Another area of responsibility is to ensure that current agency requirements, which may vary in different countries, are complied with, and that status inspections are carried out and updated in the property system. Part of the work is administrative and involves, among other things, placing orders, reviewing invoices, preparing decision support materials, developing an economic budget for operations together with the property economist, and administering maintenance plans for technical installations in the designated property system.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have:

  • a relevant university education, or alternatively competence from working life that we assess as equivalent,
  • several years of experience as a project manager in the property or construction industry,
  • broad knowledge of a building's various installations and supply systems,
  • experience of leading and supervising projects with a focus on technical installations,
  • experience in identifying needs, preparing necessary documents for measures, and compiling request for proposal documents for tenders,
  • very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing,
  • experience working with digital tools.

Meritorious:

  • experience from working as a technical property manager,
  • experience of working as a project manager abroad,
  • experience of leading work remotely,
  • good knowledge of a language other than Swedish and English,
  • experience of having worked within the state sector.

Personal Qualities

We place great importance on your personal qualities such as good social skills and personal stability. Problem-solving skills are prerequisites for being able to meet the challenges you face, as well as being responsible and accustomed to handling tasks independently while being a team player.

As a traveling technical property manager, you represent SFV and act according to the state's values. This means that you have a behavior and an approach that preserves the trust in the agency and the state. It is therefore meritorious if you have been employed within the state previously.

In the first selection, we will only base ourselves on your CV and your answers to the questions. We would like you to answer concretely and concisely, and that there is a clear connection between your answers and your CV.
