In Sandvikens municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Norrsätraskolan 7–9 is located in the western district of Norrsätra, close to forests and walking areas. Approximately 330 students attend the school, and about 45 dedicated employees work there. There is also a 4–6 school and a special needs school on the school grounds. With us, we make each other better and work together to create a safe and developing learning environment for all students.

DUTIES

As a student assistant, you work closely with an individual student throughout the entire school day. The assignment involves providing continuous support in teaching and school life, with a focus on safety, structure, and participation. The work includes both pedagogical support and care and nursing interventions. Collaboration takes place close to teachers, student health services, and guardians.

You contribute by:

• Being a close and safe support for the student in teaching and school situations
• Working with clarifying pedagogy and adaptations based on the student's needs and daily condition
• Carrying out care and nursing interventions, including support during meals and medical moments according to instructions
• Handling transfers, positioning, and other physically demanding tasks in a safe manner
• Using visual aids and digital tools for communication and structure

• Creating a safe, respectful, and accessible school environment
• Being responsive and solution-focused in meeting the student's needs
• Taking joint responsibility for the student's entire school day

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the assignment, a calm, safe, and professional attitude is required. The role suits a person who is responsive, responsible, and has the ability to build trust in close relationships. The work requires good physical ability and confidence in working with care-oriented tasks. Collaboration with colleagues and guardians is a natural part of the assignment and requires good communication skills and respect for confidentiality and privacy.

For the assignment, the following are required:

• Upper secondary school diploma
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written

It is meritorious if you have experience working as a student assistant or personal assistant. Experience working with students in need of special support and familiarity with digital tools are also seen as meritorious.
