Your Role

Saab Naval in Helsingborg is in an expansion phase, and we are now looking for a Senior Project Manager who wants to drive the development and delivery of our software products. Here, you will become a key person in a cross-functional development team where we develop complex, high-tech training systems that prepare submarine crews for real scenarios. We are building tomorrow's simulators as well as software, apps, and services for systems for vehicles under and above the water surface.

In this role, you take overall responsibility, from concept and planning to delivery. We believe that truly good results are created when knowledgeable people thrive and trust each other. To succeed here, you need to enjoy combining the business side – such as customer contact, economics, and timeframes – with being available for the development team in everyday life. This creates the calm and structure the team needs to focus on building good software. You become an important bridge between technology, business, and end-users, building long-term relationships in close collaboration with product management and the technical organization.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Project Management: Plan, lead, and drive projects from start to delivery. You are responsible for schedules, budgets, resources, risk management, and reporting – and ensure that goals are met according to requirements and timeframes.
• Customer and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Ensure that customer needs are understood, handled, and transformed into value-creating solutions.
• Team Coaching and Facilitation: Support and coach team members, create a culture of collaboration, learning, and accountability, and ensure that agile principles and ways of working are followed.
• Strategic Alignment and Collaboration: Work closely with architects, systems engineers, and technical experts to ensure that projects support Saab's strategic goals and are aligned with the overall architecture.
• Take responsibility for the whole together with the team – from structure and daily follow-up to decisions that make everyday life easier for both end-users and colleagues.

The position is located at our office in Helsingborg, and the work is performed on-site. Shorter travels may occur in the role as needed, primarily within Skåne.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a confident project manager with solid technical understanding and a genuine interest in people. In this role, leadership is not about being seen and heard the most, but about listening, creating order in complexity, and ensuring that the team has what they need to do a good job. You are unpretentious in your working style and feel comfortable making decisions, while being receptive to others' expertise and perspectives.

We believe you have:

• Several years of experience in project management within software development or complex technical environments.
• Good understanding of planning, budgeting, risk management, and agile ways of working (such as Scrum or SAFe).
• Experience with or a strong interest in marine systems, simulation technology, or advanced software solutions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills in both Swedish and English.
