We are looking for a strategic communicator who wants to work with websites, social media, and graphic design. You drive development, support operations in daily life, and contribute when the pace increases.

As a communicator, you will collaborate closely with the communications department and other communicators. Together, we develop high-quality communication that makes a concrete difference for the residents of Finspång every day.

We offer you an exciting role where you can contribute to the strong development of our communications. The Communications Department belongs to the management staff of Finspång Municipality and currently has five employees who provide support and service to the municipality's operations.

Your future responsibilities

You will be a support in the overall communication work with a focus on the communication needs of the education sector. This means that you create graphic material, highlight good examples, and ensure that our communication and channels are continuously updated. You coordinate, plan, and carry out development projects together with the operations and your colleagues in the department. You lead targeted communication assignments as a project manager and also serve as support to employees within the organization.

The role also involves

• A strong interest in collaborating, networking, and working across boundaries within the organization.
• An eye for graphic design, being structured and meticulous.
• Experience in creating print-ready originals for printed materials.
• Understanding of writing content that is accessible.
• Experience in writing informative texts for different target groups and channels.
• Good insight as a client and the ability to drive certain development projects if support is needed.
• Experience in maintaining policies and governing documents.
• Experience in writing for the web and working with social media.
• Used to working independently, while simultaneously coordinating the work continuously.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have knowledge and experience in project management and communicative work with images, film, and text. Fundamentally, you have relevant education at university/college level in communication or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have knowledge of Adobe programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro. It is also advantageous if you have experience with Sitevision, but this is not a requirement.

You are driven by working with brand issues, design, digital channels, and CMS tools. You understand the importance of SEO and you may have a broad competence in the communication field, both strategically and operationally. For you, it is a matter of course to follow up and measure communication efforts to achieve the best results – you work insight-driven and analytical at every step.

Personal qualities that we see as important are good collaboration skills, the ability to take initiative and work independently. You need to have a pedagogical and communicative disposition and find it easy to connect with people. You also need to master the Swedish language in speech and writing.
