Your responsibilities

Are you a dedicated design nerd who loves visual production and pixel-perfect precision? At Communication Service, you will have a clear operational and creative role where the focus is on graphic design from the ground up, based on complex client briefs.

Your main responsibilities include producing everything from large-scale print (such as banners and signs) and editorial design to digital content adapted for web and social media. A major and important part of your daily work also involves quality assurance and correcting materials so that everything leaving the unit strictly follows Linköping Municipality's graphic profile.

You will be part of a close team together with text and film producers, where you set the visual basic elements and create the fixed form that the unit's animators can then bring to life.

Your workplace

Communication Service is the municipality's internal communications agency, offering communication services to the municipality's operations and companies. Here, we help from idea to finished production. We work in areas such as film, photography, and animation, sound production, graphic design, e-learning, writing, accessibility adjustments of documents, web publishing, web training, and advertising via social media.

We are located in modern premises in Ebbepark. We apply trust-based working hours and remote work of up to two days a week when the operations allow.

You who apply

We are looking for an expert in graphic production. We are looking for you who have a university degree in graphic design, communication, and media, or other education/experience that we assess as equivalent.

You have several years of documented and substantial experience in operational and creative work with graphic design and production. You are accustomed to interpreting the client's briefs and translating them into striking visual communication. You have a proven ability to strictly follow, apply, and quality-assure materials based on a given graphic profile, and you see this set of rules as a creative challenge. It is a requirement that you have good knowledge and extensive experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud. As a graphic designer, we would like you to have experience working with generative AI (e.g., Midjourney or similar tools). It is highly meritorious if you have experience working at an in-house agency or similar production environment. If you also have knowledge and experience in animation or film and sound production, in addition to your graphic expertise, it is meritorious. It is also desirable if you have previous experience working in a politically governed organization.

For the position, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, as you will be producing materials in Swedish. We consider it meritorious if you have a B-driving license, as the work involves travel to different locations for reporting and recordings.

As a person, you are idea-rich and creative within given frameworks. You are good at brainstorming new concepts, but at the same time have the teamwork skills required to meet our clients' needs. We see that you drive your tasks independently and enjoy collaborating, while maintaining a high level of service towards our clients. You thrive in a specialist role where you get to nerd out on what you are absolutely best at: creating visual forms that make a difference in the everyday life of our clients and citizens. Maintaining high delivery quality is a hygiene factor for you. The role involves great variation – from larger printed materials and signage to digital content for web and social media.
