We are now looking for an investigator for Barnafrid – the National Centre for Knowledge on Violence against Children.

About the job

Barnafrid has a government mandate to collect and disseminate knowledge about violence against children. The operations are divided into different programs targeting specific groups. We are now seeking an investigator to participate in the work within the health care program and to handle other tasks assigned to Barnafrid, such as developing and conducting various training courses, conducting investigative work, and participating in and contributing to cross-professional national networks.

About you

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree (minimum 300 credits) relevant to the health care program
  • Previous experience working with children exposed to violence (at least five years of practical experience)
  • Excellent pedagogical and communicative skills, as well as documented experience in training professionals in the field of violence against children
  • Training competence in TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
  • Excellent ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • Experience in building contacts and collaborating with various actors

Previous experience in clinical trauma psychology, TF-CBT, and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) supervision, as well as experience independently leading development projects, training assignments, or consulting activities, is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have experience of regional or national work, as well as work at a national knowledge center. Documented experience of knowledge dissemination at the national level and experience of international cooperation are also meritorious.

You are expected to be independent, trustworthy, and flexible, as well as having high integrity. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability, ability to deliver results, and good collaboration skills in relation to external partners such as other authorities, universities, similar organizations, and reference groups.

You will work at the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (https://liu.se/organisation/liu/bkv (https://liu.se/organisation/liu/bkv)), which is part of the Faculty of Medicine at Linköping University. Organizationally, you will belong to the division https://liu.se/forskning/barnafrid (https://liu.se/forskning/barnafrid), which consists of a work group with broad multiprofessional and interdisciplinary competence. Barnafrid targets professionals who, in their work, encounter children and young people who have been exposed to violence and other abuse, but also professionals in, for example, authorities and organizations.
