As a Logistics Engineer at our client's site, you will step into the middle of one of the group's most ambitious change journeys. You will play a key role in automating and optimizing the factory – and help set the standards for how this is done. Apply today, we are reviewing applications on a rolling basis!
ABOUT THE ROLE
On behalf of our client, Friday is looking for a Logistics Engineer for a long-term consulting assignment based in Köping. Our client is a global industrial company with a strong tradition of innovation and quality, now embarking on an exciting journey towards a more automated and future-proofed production.
The factory in Köping has been designated as a pilot site within the group – meaning the work done here will not remain local. What is built and established in Köping will shape how the group operates at other locations in the future.
This is an assignment for you who want to be involved early in a major change and actually influence how it takes shape.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will quickly take responsibility and contribute to something concrete. You will work closely with your team to map out how the factory operates today – and then find smart ways to automate and improve flows. In practice, this means you will:
- Learn to understand how materials and transport move through the factory and identify opportunities for improvement
- Help develop proposals for what can be automated and how it should function in practice
- Contribute to calculating capacity and transport needs within the site
- Help document flows and create supporting materials and technical specifications
- Have many contact points and gather information from various parts of the business
- Help anchor solutions among those affected by the change
A large part of the role is about people as much as technology. You will listen, ask questions, and help colleagues and functions feel secure in the change taking place. You will be part of a tight team of three people where you support each other and drive the work forward together.
Who You Are
- Engineering degree with a focus on logistics, production, or supply chain
- Basic understanding of material flows and production logistics
- Experience in project work, either from studies or early career – you know what it means to work towards goals and deadlines
- Basic CAD skills, where you can handle simple layout drawings
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ColMorgan or similar systems for AGV programming
- Practical experience from an industrial or production environment, e.g., via thesis, internship, or part-time job
- Familiarity with project models such as PSM or DVP
To thrive in this role, we believe you are genuinely curious and see opportunities rather than obstacles. You listen as much as you contribute your own ideas, and you understand that the best solutions often come when everyone feels included. You are structured enough to drive your own questions forward, but open enough to let others' perspectives shape the final result. You enjoy collaborating with different types of people and are not afraid to ask questions, challenge a mindset, or try a new approach.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
This is a long-term consulting assignment where you will be employed by Friday and work on-site at our client's location in Köping. As a consultant at Friday, we are with you throughout the entire assignment and ensure you have the right conditions to succeed.
