The position is full-time and located in Tändstickspalatset in central Stockholm.

About the Role

As an Analyst, you will become part of the analysis department, which currently consists of 14 people with backgrounds from KTH, LTH, Lund University, Uppsala University, Stockholm University, and Stockholm School of Economics. The department has overall responsibility for profitability and works primarily within underwriting, renewals, and strategic development projects.

In the role, you will work with:

• Pricing and underwriting of insurance
• Profitability analysis and follow-up
• Analysis of new segments and business opportunities in Sweden, Finland, and the rest of Scandinavia
• Development of analysis tools, models, and automation
• Forecasting and project management
• Handling and analysis of large data sets

The work is varied and combines business understanding with advanced analysis. You work daily with tools such as Excel, SQL, R, and Python.

About You

We are looking for you with a strong analytical and mathematical mind who is motivated by working in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment. You thrive with responsibility, are self-starting, and enjoy challenging both yourself and established ways of working.

We would like you to have:

• A Master of Science in Engineering degree in, for example, technical physics, technical mathematics, or similar education with a strong mathematical focus
• Very good analytical skills and strong academic results
• Experience or a strong interest in SQL, R, Python, Matlab, or similar
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Good knowledge of Swedish, Finnish, and English, both spoken and written

Previous experience in, for example, data science or insurance is meritorious, but the most important thing is your analytical acumen, problem-solving skills, and willingness to develop.
