Svenska Kraft Network is one of the most important actors in the sustainable energy transition. As a Technical Expert, you are offered one of Sweden's most important jobs, where you will contribute to Sweden's electricity supply every day. We need you to succeed in our socially vital mission to electrify Sweden.

About the role

As a Technical Expert in overhead line technology, you will play a key role in driving and developing advanced technical issues within the field. You will work in an environment where tasks are complex and often lack ready-made solutions, which places high demands on analytical skills, creativity, and strategic thinking.

You contribute with both broad and deep competence by analyzing complex issues and clearly describing the connections between different technical areas.

In this role, you work strategically with technical investigation and development work. You initiate, plan, execute, and follow up on qualified investigations and projects, and are responsible for developing working methods and approaches.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Driving and developing technical guidelines and governing documents for overhead lines and their components.
  • Acting as technical expert support in asset management matters.
  • Providing specialist support in overhead line technology to technical specialists, projects, and maintenance organizations.
  • Working with technology development and environmental scanning in the area.
  • Handling and developing issues related to the lifecycle of the facilities.
  • Analyzing, evaluating, and reporting on investigation results, as well as preparing decision-making materials.
  • You also drive and actively participate in research and innovation work (R&I).

At Svenska Kraft Network, there are great opportunities for development. You have freedom under responsibility to shape both your work and your competence development, as well as the opportunity to participate in technical committees and collaborate with international actors. The role involves many contact surfaces, both internally and externally.

We are looking for someone who is proactive in their own development and who contributes significantly to strengthening the unit's competence. You share your knowledge by training, onboarding new employees, and supporting technical issues in projects and asset management. You also contribute to strategic competence supply work.

You will become part of a context where your competence makes a difference and where you work closely with both internal colleagues and external actors.

The Unit for Components and Asset Management Technology consists of approximately eight employees with high competence and long experience in overhead line technology and its components, including specialist competence in OPGW. The unit supports Svenska Kraft Network with qualified specialist competence and provides support to both project and asset management operations.

About you

Requirements:

You are collaborative and build trust in your relationships. At the same time, you work independently, drive your work forward, and have a structured approach that provides quality and clarity even in complex contexts.

You must also adhere to the Swedish public sector values (https://www.statskontoret.se/forvaltningskultur/den-statliga-vardegrunden/).
