We are now looking for a Systems Engineer for an exciting consulting assignment with our client in Linköping – a high-tech company developing advanced unmanned helicopter systems and future autonomous flying solutions. This assignment is perfect for you who want to work in technically complex and safety-critical environments where quality, traceability, and systems engineering are at the center.

Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with both hardware, software, and system functions in the development of advanced products with high demands on reliability, verification, and regulatory compliance.

About the assignment

As a Systems Engineer, you will become part of a team working cross-functionally with system architecture, requirements management, verification, and process development throughout the entire product lifecycle. The role involves broad interfaces and close collaboration with development teams, quality, test, and other technical specialists.

You will play a key role in ensuring that requirements are broken down, documented, verified, and traceable throughout the entire development chain – from customer and product requirements to implementation and testing.

The assignment offers a varied and strategically important role where you will contribute both operationally and methodologically within systems engineering.

Your responsibilities

In the role, you will among other things:

• Drive the breakdown of customer and product requirements into system requirements together with responsible parties for different subsystems
• Work with requirements management and verification at the system level
• Ensure traceability between requirements, system design, software, and verification
• Work with verification and validation of complex systems
• Conduct and participate in formal reviews and audits
• Contribute to developing and improving processes, methods, and ways of working within systems engineering
• Ensure that the development work meets regulatory and quality requirements
• Collaborate closely with the development, test, and quality organization on technical and process-related issues

We are looking for someone who has

• A Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical education
• Experience in system architecture in complex technical systems
• Experience in requirements management and requirements breakdown
• Experience in verification and validation
• Experience in traceability from requirements to test
• Ability to work in a structured, methodical, and process-oriented manner
• Good collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have

• Experience with safety-critical systems
• Experience from aviation, defense, or other regulated industries
• Experience working according to established systems engineering processes and standards
• Experience with tools for requirements management and traceability
• Experience with verification planning or test strategies
