Department Manager for Digital Workplace and Servicedesk at Tekniska verken

Do you want to lead and develop a business-oriented IT function with a focus on service, user experience, and business value? We are now looking for a Department Manager for Digital Workplace and Servicedesk who wants to take a central role in shaping, developing, and ensuring quality in the delivery of Servicedesk and Digital Workplace services.

About the role

As Department Manager Digital Service, you have overall responsibility for Servicedesk and Digital Workplace, with approximately 20–25 employees in your own teams and via suppliers. You are a key part of developing a modern, stable, and user-oriented IT delivery.

The organization is undergoing a transformation journey where parts of the operations are gradually being brought back from external suppliers. This means that you will, over time, partially build and shape your own organization. You will step into a business with competent and self-sufficient teams, where the focus is on further development, improvement, and creating even greater value.

The role involves close collaboration with the business, where you act as the face of IT internally. You are responsible for ensuring high service levels, efficient processes, and a positive user experience, while simultaneously driving the development of working methods, processes, and services within the digital workplace. You work with ITSM processes according to ITIL, are responsible for central tools such as ServiceNow and CMDB, and ensure well-functioning supplier management, especially in cooperation with external partners.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead and develop Servicedesk and Digital Workplace
• Ensure high service levels, customer satisfaction, and efficient working methods
• Drive and further develop ITSM processes according to ITIL
• Responsible for ServiceNow and CMDB
• Ensure functioning workflows within incident, case, and order management
• Work with supplier management and follow-up
• Further develop service areas within digital workplace (e.g., client management, Microsoft 365, and applications)
• Contribute to structure and development in areas such as license management

You report to the IT Director and, together with other managers, contribute to the strategic development of the business. The position is located in Linköping, with the possibility of some remote work. As the business operates in several locations, travel is required for the role.

About you

We are looking for you who are a confident and clear leader with a genuine interest in service, people, and improvement work. You have experience in leading employees and are accustomed to working in a role where you combine operational responsibility with strategic thinking. You have a good understanding of IT support, servicedesk, or digital workplace, as well as knowledge of ITIL and ITSM processes.

As a person, you are communicative, relationship-building, and thrive in a role with many contact surfaces. You have the ability to create trust in the business, build strong teams, and develop both working methods and delivery. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and confident even in situations where the pace is high or demands increase. At the same time, you have a coaching approach and bring out the best in your employees without micromanaging.

Qualifications:

• Experience of personnel responsibility and leadership
• Experience from servicedesk within IT or digital workplace
• Good understanding of ITIL and ITSM processes
• Ability to work both operationally and strategically
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English
• Valid driver's license (Category B)
