Responsibilities

As a Purchaser, you are responsible for executing spot purchases, project purchases, and miscellaneous purchases, ensuring deliveries are made according to plan through active delivery monitoring. You continuously request, review, and evaluate quotations, negotiate terms, and select suppliers based on commercial and quality criteria before executing the purchase. The role involves close collaboration with quotation engineers, supporting both in the quotation phase with customers and in the next step when the order is placed by ensuring prices, lead times, and any updates related to ongoing customer or project cases.

You are responsible for placing purchase orders, confirming orders, and following up on deliveries in the business system Monitor, as well as checking and approving supplier invoices, identifying discrepancies, and monitoring the company's commercial interests. The role also includes approving and registering new suppliers and working systematically with the evaluation and quality assurance of suppliers within the categories you are responsible for. Sustainability is also an important part of the work here. You enter into agreements with frequent suppliers and handle complaints, disputes, and warranty issues arising within the scope of completed purchases. The purchasing work is broad and can cover both technical materials and processing as well as indirect materials and services, requiring good prioritization skills and a structured approach in a daily routine where needs may vary over time.

Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities

• University degree or Higher Vocational Education (YH) in a relevant field (purchasing, logistics, economics, or engineering)
• Experience in operational purchasing work, preferably from manufacturing industry
• Experience working in business systems (preferably Monitor) and managing the entire purchasing flow from order to delivery
• Very good communication skills in dialogue with both internal and external parties
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing

In this role, you need to be confident in taking responsibility for your area and driving purchasing cases to completion. You communicate clearly and factually, follow up on what you promise, and find it easy to collaborate with both colleagues and suppliers. You work systematically, are meticulous in details such as prices, terms, and delivery times, and have a natural service focus when interacting with internal functions. You thrive in a daily routine where priorities may change and where the work requires both foresight and flexibility.
