The products are used globally in areas such as water purification, metal production, energy transmission, and other demanding industrial processes. The company was formed in 2025 through the merger of the Swedish Permascand and the Dutch Magneto Special Anodes, and is today owned by Altor.

The company is in strong growth and is expected to more than double its turnover within three years. Elicron has factories in Sweden, the Netherlands, and China, as well as a partner factory in the USA. Responsibilities

In the role of Estimating Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring a functioning flow from quote and customer order to handover to production. You work early in the business cycle, collecting, structuring, and quality-assuring information from several internal functions to create accurate and feasible calculations and production setups.

The role involves a large internal network and close collaboration with sales, design, production, production management, and purchasing. You work with both new projects and recurring quotes, often in businesses with longer lead times where the product is developed together with the customer over time. The focus is on creating the right conditions from the start – both technically, in terms of capacity, and commercially.

You also contribute to improvement work through post-calculations, follow-ups, and development of working methods, as well as being responsible for master data in the business system.

The operations are characterized by customer-adapted solutions, long sales cycles, and close collaboration between marketing, design, production, and purchasing. The estimating function, design, and purchasing are located close to each other physically, which creates short decision paths and tight collaboration in daily work. You will become part of a team with high technical understanding where the role is seen as business-critical – the information generated in the estimating stage sets the framework for how the products are produced.

Examples of tasks:

• Create quotes and preparations by calculating materials, time, machines, and production setups
• Ensure that the correct information is available from the estimating stage to handover to production
• Provide input to sales and customer teams regarding capacity, restrictions, and commercial consequences
• Find solutions to optimize order profitability in collaboration with production planning, purchasing, and logistics.
• Perform post-calculations, handle changes, and drive improvements in dialogue with internal stakeholders

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• University degree with relevant focus
• Experience from the manufacturing industry and production
• Experience in preparation, costing, or a related technical role
• Good understanding of the entire order flow, from quote to delivery
• Experience working in business systems (preferably Monitor) and understanding of master data (e.g., articles, EOK)
• Background as a designer, production leader, or production manager is meritorious
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing

To succeed in the role, you need to be structured and confident in working with many parallel interfaces. You drive your work independently, ask the right questions, and ensure you get the information required to make good decisions. You collaborate easily with different functions and adapt your communication depending on who you are talking to. At the same time, you are analytical, meticulous, and have a clear commercial focus – you follow up, learn from the outcome, and actively contribute to improvements over time.
