Your Role

Do you want to work with advanced product development where you can follow the entire chain from idea to finished solution? At Saab Dynamics in Karlskoga, you will become part of a technology-heavy environment where innovation, quality, and long-term development are in focus.

As a Development Engineer within Warhead Design, you work broadly with the design and development of warhead systems. The role involves being involved throughout the entire development process, from concept and construction to testing, verification, and further development of the finished product. This gives you a unique opportunity to influence technical solutions early on and follow them all the way to implementation. There are good opportunities here to deepen your technical expertise and work long-term within an advanced and niche technical area where development and innovation are a central part of everyday life. You will gradually build up your specialist competence in the area.

In your daily work, you combine theoretical problem-solving with practical implementation. You work with construction and technical design in complex systems, analyze and solve technical challenges, and participate in the preparation of test equipment and the execution of testing. An important part of the role is also product care, where you contribute with improvement proposals, conduct investigations, and ensure that the products continue to develop over time. The work involves many contact surfaces both internally and externally.

The role involves both independent responsibility and close collaboration with colleagues. You are part of a team with high competence where knowledge sharing and joint problem-solving are a natural part of the working method. At the same time, you are expected to be able to drive your own tasks forward and make well-founded decisions.

Travel both within and outside Sweden may occur.

Your Profile

We believe you have:

• A university degree in engineering, for example in mechanical engineering, technical physics, or equivalent
• Experience with construction in 3D tools
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
• A valid driver's license (Category B)

It is meritorious if you have experience in design or systems engineering work. If you also have a practical interest and appreciate working hands-on, for example in connection with testing and the preparation of test materials, we see this as a big plus.

We also value that you are meticulous, responsible, and have a security-conscious approach.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the currently valid regulations for security clearance. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
