As one of our employees is starting midwifery studies, we are looking for a substitute midwife or nurse for the maternity ward, neonatal unit (BB), and gynecological department. About Us

The Women's Clinic in Nyköping is a small clinic with a big heart. Here, you get the advantages of a smaller hospital combined with high-quality care and treatment. Nyköping Hospital is geographically well-located, close to the train station and the motorway. From the train station, it is a walk of less than ten minutes.

The Workplace

The maternity ward, neonatal unit (BB), and gynecological care department are located together as one unit at Nyköping Hospital, alongside our outpatient clinics. As a midwife, you can work in all three units; as a nurse, you will work in the neonatal unit and gynecological department. All our employees rotate, and we work in teams focused on our patients. Our team consists of midwives, doctors, assistant nurses, and nurses.

Your Responsibilities

The position involves working around the new family in the various stages when the family welcomes a new member on the maternity ward and neonatal unit: assisting with births and providing aftercare for mother and child. In the gynecological department, we work with emergency care, pre- and post-operative care, as well as end-of-life care. You will work in a team with other midwives, nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed midwife or a licensed nurse, preferably with experience in maternity care, postnatal care, and/or emergency care.

As a person, you are independent, responsible, structured, and empathetic. You collaborate well with others and thrive both working independently and in a group. You understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect you and others. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment

Substitute employment from August 2026 to June 2027, according to agreement.
