Your Role

We are now looking for an operational buyer for our purchasing organization within Special Mission & Regional Aircraft (SMRA), with a focus on internal production and LEGO purchasing. Here you will have an important role where you ensure that the right materials are in place – at the right time.

In this role, you work closely with our internal production and become a key player in ensuring smooth material flows. You work broadly with planning, follow-up, and coordination in our business systems, having a significant impact on delivery precision and efficiency.

You will become part of cross-functional teams, where you, together with the Supply Chain Planner, Production Strategist, Sub-project Manager, Purchasing Quality, and Design, are responsible for ensuring long-term support for our projects, programs, and campaigns.

Your responsibilities will include, among other things:

• Ensure material supply based on production needs
• Create and follow up on purchase orders
• Monitor deliveries and drive action in case of deviations
• Actively work in business systems to keep data updated and correct
• Handle quality deviations in collaboration with supplier quality
• Support export control-related issues
• Participate in supplier follow-up and improvement work

Your Profile

We believe you are someone who thrives in a role where structure, precision, and collaboration are crucial. You enjoy working systematically, have a good ability to juggle multiple threads simultaneously, and are motivated by getting flows to work efficiently.

To succeed in the role, we would like you to have:

• Post-secondary education in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain (e.g., University College level)
• Interest in planning, material flows, and system work
• Experience working in business systems
• A solution-oriented and responsible attitude
• Good collaboration skills and a service-minded approach

Meritorious is experience in a similar role within production, logistics, or operational purchasing.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
