Operations Manager at Wernersson Ost in Jönköping

Wernersson Ost was founded in 1930 and is the largest cheese wholesaler in the Nordic region. The business idea is to purchase, process, and market a broad, attractive, and internationally profiled range of cheeses to customers in the Nordics and the Baltic states. Wernersson Ost AB, together with Färskvarugruppen AB in Jönköping and Wernersson Ost Danmark A/S in Töllöse, Denmark, forms a group with approximately 100 employees and a turnover of 950 MSEK. The company's headquarters are located in Ulricehamn, and it is part of the Norwegian dairy group Tine SA.

Wernersson Ost is expanding and, in 2025, acquired the company Ostkompaniet AB in Jönköping. With this acquisition, Wernersson's capacity is strengthened, creating new opportunities for growth. We are now recruiting an Operations Manager for the new facility, with the main responsibility of leading daily operations and ensuring that the business runs efficiently, safely, and according to set goals.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the on-site operational team
• Ensure that production and logistics flows meet quality and safety requirements
• Plan and prioritize daily activities based on order status and resources
• Drive improvement work regarding efficiency, working environment, and quality
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report results to management
• Be responsible for staffing, onboarding, and competence development
• Act as a contact person for internal and external stakeholders
• Provide support in production when needed

Who Are You?

We are looking for a confident and present leader who thrives in a dynamic, operational, and fast-paced environment. You have previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and maintaining stable and efficient operations have been high priorities. You are motivated by creating structure, improving processes, and building strong teams. As a person, it is important that you are technically interested, unpretentious, proactive, and communicative. You enjoy working operationally and solving everyday problems, but you can also look ahead and see what needs to be done to move forward. You have experience with major business systems and proficiency in the Office suite. Experience from food production and/or volume production is considered an advantage.

You will report to the Production Manager, who is based in Ulricehamn.
