About the role

Are you passionate about person-centered care and want to be part of the development of a more patient-focused environment, culture, care, and support? We are now looking for a nurse to join our team at Medicine Ward 16.

Ward 16 in Sollefteå is part of the Primary Healthcare Area West. Primary Healthcare Area West covers the municipalities of Sollefteå and Kramfors geographically, and in the area, there is a hospital located centrally in Sollefteå by the banks of the Ångermanälven river. Here is the small hospital with the big heart where we come together for the patient's best interest. With us, you will find short decision-making paths, close cooperation between units, and great care for those we serve, the patient. On Ward 16, we work in a team with nursing assistants, doctors, and rehabilitation professionals. Here, patients with general medical conditions are cared for. You will meet a diverse patient group and have the opportunity to develop broad competence in areas such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, COPD, diabetes, and more. Furthermore, you will encounter patients in different life stages with different needs, which is why it is important that you are flexible in meeting the patient where they are.

The position is a permanent full-time employment, with start date according to agreement.

Responsibilities

On the ward, we work with close cooperation regarding the patient. You will work in a team together with nursing assistants, doctors, and rehabilitation professionals. We work based on an ongoing quality improvement project within the Medicine Clinic at Sollefteå Hospital called the P.I.F process, standing for Patient In Focus. The basic principle is that in every question, we start from what is best for the patient. On Ward 16 in Sollefteå, patients with general medical conditions are cared for. Your duties will involve standard tasks for a nurse on a medical care ward.

If you are a newly graduated nurse when you start with us, you will participate in an in-depth introduction program during your first year. This will help you feel secure in your new professional role and contribute to your competence development.
