About Stigslunds School

Stigslunds School is a school for grades F-9 located in a beautiful outdoor environment, approximately 3 km from Gävle city center. We actively work with preventive and promoting efforts to maintain a safe environment and good working atmosphere at our school. We create good conditions for this through dedicated educators, an active student health service, and an engaged school leadership. We have good collaboration with families, which is important and a prerequisite for our success. An important part of our pedagogical work is developing students' reading competence in all subjects. We are convinced that good reading competence is a key to success in school and in life.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you will have the opportunity to inspire, challenge, and support students in their knowledge development. The role includes teaching with class responsibility as well as mentorship. Together with colleagues, you will contribute to creating a safe, joyful, and varied school day where the students' best interests are always in focus.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching in grades 4-6.
• Actively working with students' reading competence in all subjects.
• Planning, implementation, assessment, and evaluation of teaching.
• Mapping students' needs and adapting teaching according to their prerequisites.
• Mentorship.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with other educators, the student health service, guardians, and is performed according to current goals and guidelines. In accordance with Gävle Municipality's values, you have a good attitude towards people, a good ability to collaborate, and value high quality in your work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A teacher's degree and teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 and subjects SWE/SOC/ENG, or alternatively MATH/SCI.
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the Swedish compulsory school curriculum.
• The ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and experience working with digital tools, for example documentation in Unikum or Office.
• Additional qualifications for the position with broad subject eligibility are meritorious.

Working hours: Daytime.

As a final candidate, you must be able to present a police certificate of good conduct for work within schools or preschools. This should not be attached to your application.
