About the role

We are expanding our operations and are now looking for an engaged bus body repair technician/body shop technician for our workshop in Docksta. The role focuses heavily on taking responsibility for preparing and ensuring the final result before painting.

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant education equivalent to upper secondary level and experience with repairs.
• Has a good understanding of damage repair from preparation to finished result.
• Enjoys order and tidiness and works in a structured manner with a sense for detail.
• Collaborates well in a team.
• Is experienced with digital support systems.

Responsibilities

As a body shop technician/damage repair technician, you work with collision- or rust-damaged buses and other vehicles:

• Work with various body damage and body repairs.
• Preparation work before painting such as measuring, straightening, welding, restoring, and replacing details.
• Preparation work such as plastic repair, filling, gluing, sanding, and masking to ensure the best possible result.
• Reassembly of components.
• Simpler disassembly when necessary.
• Work on smaller damage jobs.
• Polishing when necessary.
• Self-control/quality assurance before delivery. I.e., check quality and execution and document the work process in our digital systems.
• Work in close dialogue with other teams such as the workshop and traffic planning for a smooth workflow.
• Work in accordance with current policies and procedures regarding occupational health and safety, environment, and security.

Requirements

• Communicates well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Valid B driver's license.

Merits

• Experience as an auto body technician.
• Experience from insurance cases/damage centers.
• Knowledge of CABAS (estimating system).

Docksta Buss och Truck AB is a workshop company with a main focus on heavy vehicles, primarily buses and taxis. Today we have approximately 25 employees within the company. The operations are distributed across seven workshops from Timrå in the south to Övik in the north, all located adjacent to Byberg & Nordin's depots whose vehicles we maintain through a service agreement.
