About the role

We are expanding our team and are looking for an additional dedicated automotive painter for our workshop in Docksta. As a painter, you will handle all common tasks within an automotive painting workshop. There is a strong focus on taking responsibility for preparation, painting, and ensuring a high-quality final result.

We are looking for someone who

• Has relevant education equivalent to upper secondary school and a few years of experience in automotive painting.
• Has a good understanding of the painting process, from surface preparation to the finished result.
• Enjoys order and cleanliness and works in a structured manner with a keen eye for detail.
• Collaborates well in a team.
• Communicates well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle painting.
• Carry out preparatory work such as plastic welding, minor straightening, filling, sanding, and masking to ensure the best possible result.
• Mix and match colors based on color codes using digital color systems.
• Work on both minor repair jobs and full repaints.
• Painting including priming in the paint booth.
• Polishing when necessary.
• Self-inspection and quality assurance prior to delivery, i.e., checking quality and execution and documenting the work process in our digital systems.
• Simple disassembly and assembly when needed.
• Actively contribute to improvement work and the development of working methods for painting and environmental considerations.
• Work in close dialogue with other teams, such as the workshop and traffic planning, for a smooth workflow.
• Work in accordance with established routines regarding occupational health and safety.

Requirements

• Education and experience in automotive painting.
• Experience with digital documentation.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits

• Experience with plastic repairs and rust treatment.
• Experience from insurance cases or damage centers.
• Knowledge of CABAS (estimating system).
