Your future challenge

As a weld inspector within OFP, you play a crucial role in ensuring safety and quality in our products. You work with inspecting and assessing hulls, welded details, and important components against high standards.

In your daily work, you will:

• Perform magnetic particle testing (MT) and radiographic testing (RT) to identify weld defects.
• Document and report results according to our processes.
• Work in the middle of production, close to quality and team leaders, to develop and improve weld quality and prevent deviations.

You are welcomed to a department where we currently have 15 people with various tasks within OFP, visual inspection, measurement, and quality assurance in hull manufacturing at BAE Systems Hägglunds in Örnsköldsvik.

The person you are

We are looking for you who either work as a welder today or have prior welding training. Most importantly, you have an interest in quality work and want to develop within non-destructive testing. If you lack knowledge in the relevant testing methods, we provide the training.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of magnetic particle testing (MT) and/or radiography (RT).
• Previous experience in weld inspection.

You have good IT skills and are proficient in both Swedish and English, both in speech and writing – something that is important in our international work environment.

A Category B driver's license is a requirement, and it is an advantage if you also have a forklift and/or overhead crane license.

As a person, you are meticulous, structured, and responsible – but also solution-oriented and accustomed to collaborating. You have good judgment and an understanding of high quality requirements.
