Within the Swedish Police Authority's IT department, we develop systems that are crucial for Sweden's border control and provide the police with better prerequisites to prevent and combat crime.
We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the section for Crime Fighting Operations Systems - Border Control. In this role, you will lead the development of national systems linked to EU-wide solutions and international collaborations.
The section is responsible for technically complex processes and systems, where security, privacy, and usability are at the core of all our solutions. You will lead the work in an agile environment characterized by new development and a focus on cutting-edge technology.

Job Description
As a Project Manager, you drive planning, follow-up, and communication for our projects, acting as the natural link between IT and the business operations. Your primary task is to lead the development team and ensure the conditions for continuous, high-quality deliveries. By setting long-term and short-term goals, you ensure that the team focuses on utility and impact, and that everyone knows what is to be achieved. You will also actively drive the team's agile development and improvement work.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in a relevant field or equivalent acquired experience deemed relevant by the employer.
- Extensive and current experience in leading, coordinating, and structuring IT development (e.g., as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar role).
- Good technical understanding of software development.
- Several years of current experience leading development work in a complex environment with many different stakeholders.
- Several years of current experience with agile methodologies in development teams.
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Swedish citizenship.
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
- Systems with high security and performance requirements.
- Technical system administration.
- System integration.
Personal Qualities

You are structured and have good communication skills. The role involves many contact surfaces, both within IT and in the business operations.
To succeed in this role, you need to be driven and accustomed to taking initiative. You are receptive, flexible, and enjoy collaborating with different stakeholders.
