We are now looking for an experienced procurement specialist who wants to take an active role in both tenders and the development of the municipality's purchasing work.

Your workplace

With us, you will become part of the municipality's central procurement unit. The unit consists of four procurement specialists, a contract controller, a buyer, and a procurement manager. We also have close cooperation with the municipality's legal function, which provides consolidated support in both procurement and contract matters.

As a procurement specialist with us, you have an advisory role where you lead and drive tenders together with the operations – from market analysis to contract. You are responsible for translating the operations' needs into well-thought-out purchases and tenders that create quality, utility, and long-term value for the municipality.

We actively work to develop our purchasing and procurement work, among other things through category management and the development of working methods and processes. Therefore, we are looking for you who want to contribute with experience, ideas, and commitment to develop the operations together with us.

We value a way of working where we look at the whole picture, dare to think new, and develop our methods over time. Through close dialogue with managers, buyers, and project managers, we create conditions for business-like, sustainable, and efficient purchases throughout the municipality.

Your assignment

In the role, you will among other things:

• lead and conduct tenders according to LOU (Public Procurement Act)
• support operations, managers, and project managers in procurement, purchasing, and contract matters
• contribute to business-like and sustainable purchases based on the operations' needs
• drive development work within category management and strategic purchasing
• participate in developing working methods and processes within purchasing and procurement

Requirements for the position

We are looking for you who are an experienced procurement specialist or buyer with an analytical mindset and a strong business understanding. You have the ability to see the whole picture and to combine operational understanding with market knowledge. This helps you design solutions and requirements that meet the operations' needs while being relevant and feasible for the market.

To succeed in the role, we believe you:

• have experience of purchasing or procurement work that the employer considers relevant for the role
• have relevant higher education, preferably in economics or law, or other education and experience considered equivalent
• have a good ability to analyze needs, market, and business consequences
• work systematically and have an easy time driving processes forward
• are communicative and build trusting collaborations with both operations and suppliers
• have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new operations, regulations, and contexts

It is meritorious if you have experience of:

• consultant tenders
• development work within purchasing or strategic purchasing

Experience from the public sector and knowledge of LOU are meritorious, but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have the ability and willingness to quickly familiarize yourself with the municipal context and the regulations governing public operations, including LOU.

To obtain employment, an extract from the Police's criminal record register must be presented. An extract from the suspicion register may also be relevant depending on the position.
