About the role and your responsibilities

As an electrician for the operation and maintenance of street lighting in Lund Municipality, you will work together with the foreman, other electricians, and the operations engineer to maintain a reliable street lighting system. The tasks involve planning, implementation, and follow-up of various measures in the lighting system. The role includes being on call.

You will also assist in other operations managed by the unit. To strategically plan our operations in a systematic way, we are working on improving and developing the unit digitally.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education in electrical work, or a college/university education with a focus on electrical/electrical power, or equivalent experience that the employer deems relevant. We prefer that you have worked a few years in the profession and have had corresponding tasks and experience with customer contact, service, and technical competence in electrical installations. You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A category B driver's license for manual transmission is required.

It is meritorious if you have ESA training, a category C driver's license, training for working on the road, hot work training, and lift training.

As a person, you are responsible and structured, and you understand the importance of documenting your work carefully. You are collaborative and have a good ability to independently plan and prioritize your daily work, even in pressurized situations. You see potential for improvement in the operations and are happy to contribute ideas and help further develop your own way of working.

About the workplace

The Street Unit is part of the Department for Streets, Parks, and Nature, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of public spaces as well as nature and recreational areas in Lund Municipality.

We are 30 people at the Street Unit working with road maintenance, operation and maintenance of streets and pedestrian/cycle paths, handling excavation permits, cleaning and winter road maintenance, street lighting, traffic signals, parking permits, traffic arrangement plans, land permits, bridge structures, as well as error reporting and comment handling. Lund Municipality has also introduced a completely new mode of transport, the tram between Lund-ESS, which we operate and maintain.

We at the Street Unit work together to develop the operations and Lund Municipality. The unit is characterized by broad competence and a team spirit built on trust and joy.
