Responsibilities

We are looking for a creative, proactive, and service-oriented employee as an instructor/teacher who wants to help shape tomorrow's aircraft mechanics and engineers. The school is located adjacent to Stockholm Skavsta Airport in Nyköping.

All education is conducted in accordance with European aviation regulations Part 66 and Part 147, as well as the national curriculum (GY 25) and national course syllabi. Teaching and quality work are carried out according to established routines in our training manual MTOE (Maintenance Training Organisation Exposition).

You will work with adult students in our Vocational Higher Education (YH) programs as well as students in grades 1 to 3 at the upper secondary level. Therefore, experience working with young people is considered an asset, though not a requirement.

Students will work with the school's fleet of aircraft, ranging from smaller planes like the Piper PA-28 to larger passenger aircraft like the SAAB 340 and SAAB 2000. The school's newest additions are two Cessna Citation II jets. Our training materials meet the requirements of the Swedish Transport Agency, the Swedish National Agency for Education, and EASA.

Your responsibilities also include maintaining contact with our industry partners and visiting students during their practical placements.

Qualifications

You have an aircraft maintenance education and have worked in aircraft maintenance operations. You have good language skills in both Swedish and English and are willing to take responsibility for developing the work at Aircraft Maintenance Technical Training. We work in teams regarding the students, and collaboration is a key factor in achieving high goals.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Hold or have held an aircraft maintenance engineer certificate Part 66, category B1 and/or B2, or equivalent.
• Experience and interest in electricity and electronics.
• Previous pedagogical experience.
• Experience working with young people.
