We are looking only for you who have at least 10 years of documented experience as a bus mechanic and who have worked with older buses and have knowledge of these vehicles.

This is not a junior position and not a role where training is provided.

About the role

We are now looking for a highly experienced bus mechanic who wants to take a central and long-term role in a growing company. You will become the first mechanic in the company and be responsible for maintenance, service, and technical operational safety in our own fleet, which today consists of approximately 20 buses and continues to grow.

Our vehicles are primarily Setra and Mercedes, model years 1995–2004. These are older buses where experience, fine-tuned skills, and deep system understanding are absolutely crucial.

The work concerns only our own fleet; no external customer jobs.

Responsibilities

You will primarily work with:

• Ongoing service, troubleshooting, and repair of older buses
• Mechanical maintenance of drivetrain, brakes, steering, air systems, cooling systems, etc.
• Preventive maintenance to ensure high operational safety
• Diagnosis and problem-solving without ready-made manuals in many cases
• Inspection preparation and follow-up checks
• Technical support during bus conversions (in collaboration with carpentry and electrical teams)

You will work closely with the company management and have significant influence over how the work is planned and executed.

We do not have a finished workshop today.

As our first mechanic, you will:

• Help design workshop spaces, workflows, and equipment
• Influence tool purchases, working methods, and structure
• Create a work environment that is optimal for your work.
• Lay the foundation for future mechanics; we plan to hire additional staff as needed.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience as a bus mechanic
• Documented experience with older buses (approx. 1995–2004)
• Very good knowledge of Setra and Mercedes
• Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Category B driver's license (required)
• Fluency in Swedish or English (spoken and written)
• You must be self-sufficient

Merits
