Nurse Wanted for Surgical Emergency Ward – Autumn Assignment 2026

Are you a registered nurse who thrives in an acute and varied care environment where teamwork and clinical assessments are at the forefront?

We are now looking for a registered nurse for an assignment on a surgical emergency ward during the autumn of 2026.

About the Assignment

You will be working with the acute influx of patients across several surgical specialties. The department is characterized by a fast pace, varying patient flows, and close collaboration between different professions.

Patient groups may include, among others:

• Surgical patients
• Urological patients
• Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) patients
• Vascular surgery patients

The work involves standard nursing duties within acute surgical inpatient care, including nursing care, patient assessments, medication management, and documentation.

We work in a structured manner with a focus on high patient safety and a good working environment. Clinical assessments according to the “head to toe” principle are a natural part of the work.

Work Environment & Team

You will work in a care team consisting of a nurse and a nursing assistant, sharing responsibility for the patient group. Collaboration, communication, and prioritization skills are central to this assignment.

Work on an adjacent sister ward may occur depending on operational needs.

Period & Scope

• Period: Weeks 37–48
• Scope: Approximately 328 hours
• Working Hours: According to schedule
• Weekend Duty: Working every other weekend is included

We are looking for you who

• Are a registered nurse
• Have experience in surgical care or acute inpatient care
• Are confident in independent assessments and prioritization
• Have good collaboration skills and thrive in teamwork
• Work in a structured and patient-safe manner even at a fast pace

• Experience working with structured patient assessments

Requirements for Presentation

The following documents must be available prior to a presentation:

• Updated CV
• Valid professional license (registration)
• Adult CPR certification
• Two current references from your most recent assignment or employment
