The HR Department is part of the University Administration at Uppsala University and is located in the Segerstedt House, in modern and bright premises close to the Botanical Garden, Carolina Rediviva, and Uppsala Castle. The department consists of approximately 50 employees distributed across four units. The department's overarching mission is to contribute to Uppsala University being an attractive employer. We provide support and advice on strategic and operational HR issues and represent the employer regarding employer policy and conditions. Job Responsibilities
The HR Department coordinates the university's transition support and funds, which include collective agreements and applications for transition funds for initiatives at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Our goal is to develop and ensure the quality of support around transition initiatives, and we are now looking for a driven and independent Transition Coordinator. The role is new and includes coordinating, developing, and contributing to the university's transition work as part of the university's competence supply, supporting both operational development and employees' employability and prospects for a longer working life. A key task will be to strengthen Uppsala University's ability to handle transition situations proactively and strategically, while ensuring transition funds are used efficiently and in accordance with local collective agreements.
The responsibilities include:
- Contributing to competence building regarding and the development of the university's transition work
- Informing and identifying needs for transition and transition funds
- Providing advice and support regarding possible transition measures, proposing and initiating university-wide transition initiatives and programs
- Developing and clarifying processes for the organization to apply for transition funds
- Coordinating, preparing, and quality-assuring applications for transition funds based on current collective agreements
- Monitoring and analyzing implemented transition initiatives and contributing data for reporting and development proposals
- Collaborating with employee organizations and other relevant stakeholders
- Serving as a collaborative partner in the development of related processes
- Contributing to other HR-related tasks within the department's area, based on operational needs and in close collaboration with colleagues
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a relevant academic degree in HR, such as a degree in Personnel Administration, or equivalent competence assessed by the employer, combined with work experience relevant to the position. You have several years of current experience in qualified HR work. Furthermore, you have good experience working with change processes and strategic competence supply, as well as experience working with transition (redundancy work, competence development, etc.) in close collaboration with operational representatives and trade union parties. You have good ability to work in a consultative and collaborative manner, as well as to identify and prioritize initiatives based on needs. Good digital maturity and documented good skills in communicating and expressing yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English are required.

The employment is fixed-term for one year. The position is full-time. Start date by agreement, preliminarily September 2026. Location: Uppsala.
