Job Description

As a nurse at the ADHD clinic, your focus will be on medication follow-up and counseling, conducted via phone, video link, and clinic visits.

The role involves independent and varied work in close collaboration with the responsible consultant physician and other colleagues in the team, offering you the opportunity to make a significant difference for both patients and their families.

The position is both developmental and rewarding, offering a broad variety of tasks. Responsibilities also include:

• Leading and supporting parent education programs
• Mentoring students in their learning and development
• Monitoring and handling cases via 1177 and TeleQ

About the Workplace

The ADHD clinic within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP) Halland is located in Halmstad and serves patients from across the region. Here, doctors, nurses, secretaries, and clerks work together in a close and flat-hierarchical collaboration, with the child's and family's best interests as the primary focus. We offer specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, investigation, and treatment for children and adolescents with uncomplicated ADHD – through counseling, medication treatment, or a combination of both.

Here, you will become part of a small team with a warm community, great engagement, and close collaboration in daily work. We are constantly working to develop our operations and find new ways to create accessible and modern care. One area we have recently focused on is digital care contacts, which today serve as a valued complement to physical visits.

The ADHD clinic also participates in a pilot project using AI transcription/Speech-to-Text as support in documentation – an exciting area of development that contributes to simplifying daily work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Further education in psychiatry and previous experience working with children and adolescents are considered meritorious. You have a clear patient focus and can handle working at a high pace when needed. Good teamwork skills as well as confidence in working independently are fundamental qualities for the position. You are flexible in your working style and enjoy collaborating to achieve results. For you, a good attitude towards patients, their relatives, and your colleagues is second nature. Since we consider it important that you thrive with us, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
