We are looking for assistant nurses for Ekhaga care and nursing home in Onsala

We are looking for two dedicated assistant nurses for our charming care and nursing home in Onsala. The positions are scheduled for day/evening shifts and every other weekend, where you will work in the somatic units.

We are looking for you who are positive, responsible, and enjoy working in a team. Here, you will become part of a knowledgeable and supportive work team where care and engagement are at the center. We work with reflection and participation to develop the operations together, in close collaboration with our managers.

About Ekhaga care and nursing home

In Onsala, you will find Ekhaga care and nursing home with a total of 94 apartments. Here, dedicated and knowledgeable staff work with elderly people who have been affected by somatic illness or dementia. Ekhaga is operated on contract by Vardaga.

  • We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone who works here is trained in dementia and interaction through Vardaga's Dementia Academy.

  • We apply fixed schedules that include working varying day/evening shifts and every other weekend. As an employee, you have some possibility to influence your own working hours in consultation with your team and group leader.

  • We have a collaboration with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to add gold to the lives of our residents.

  • You have a group leader who spends most of their time working close to you in the operations. Becoming a group leader can also be a career opportunity for you as an assistant nurse.

  • Here we work with animals in care and have regular visits from therapy dogs.

  • We are constantly working to come up with new, exciting activities for our residents. At Ekhaga, we have an Elderly Center with two activity pedagogues employed who support the operations by creating activity programs for our elderly.

As an assistant nurse, you are incredibly important!

Your task is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you learn a lot about care, aging, and how to treat people.

You are closest to the resident and thus have a key role in the team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. You also participate in care planning and write social documentation.

Your experience and knowledge

We would like you to be a trained assistant nurse and have worked a few years in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are also meritorious. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you share our values and have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
