The mandate of the Education and Labour Market Administration is to increase an individual's prospects of finding employment and becoming self-sufficient through education, internships, and work.
Labour Market and Social Services is responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of the municipality's labour market initiatives, as well as the handling of financial assistance. The overarching mandate is to support residents in achieving self-sufficiency and participating in society.
Have you recently completed upper secondary school, or are you covered by the Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA), and do you want to gain valuable work experience? Then a youth job within care and elderly care might be a great opportunity for you.
Here, you will have the chance to work closely with people and make a difference in their daily lives. You will become part of a workplace where you receive support from experienced colleagues while developing experiences that will benefit you in future studies and working life.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will meet and support elderly people who need help in their daily lives, as well as children, young people, and adults with varying needs. The work is always based on the individual person's needs and wishes to contribute to good and close care and support.
The tasks may include, among other things:
- providing social support and companionship,
- helping with meals, cooking, and shopping,
- participating in daily activities,
- helping with cleaning and other practical chores,
- providing support with dressing and undressing, as well as personal hygiene, such as showering and toilet visits.
Depending on the placement, you will work either in home care services or at a care and support residence. Within home care, you will travel between clients by car or bicycle together with your colleagues.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- graduated from upper secondary school in 2025 or 2026, or
- has interrupted their studies and is covered by the Municipal Activity Responsibility (KAA).
You also need to:
- have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written,
- be able to work with both male and female clients as well as colleagues.
