The Workplace

The Municipal Executive Office has a municipality-wide mandate and serves as support for the municipality's operations in matters concerning governance, development, and service. Several central functions and competencies are gathered here, including administration, finance, HR, communication, and labor market, with the goal of creating good conditions for the municipality's entire operations.

We are now looking for a Municipal Developer who wants to work closely with the Municipal Director and the municipality's management group to drive development across the entire municipal group. The role is central to strengthening our ability to work smarter, more data-driven, and with increased focus on benefit for residents and operations.

Your Responsibilities

As a Municipal Developer, you work across the municipality and initiate and drive development that creates concrete benefit. The purpose of the role is to strengthen Karlsborg Municipality's ability to conduct efficient, modern, and cohesive operational development with a special focus on digitalization, AI, and group-wide benefit realization.

You will among other things:

• Support managers and management groups in change work
• Coordinate and drive projects and development initiatives together with operational developers and other key functions in the municipality
• Identify, map, and develop processes to create more efficient and cohesive ways of working
• Contribute to the development of the municipality's governance, follow-up, and control
• Actively work with digitalization, with a focus on AI, and translate opportunities in the area into practical solutions in operations
• Be responsible for the entire chain – from idea to implementation

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have relevant academic education or experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have several years of experience in operational development and are accustomed to driving projects, development initiatives, and change work in complex organizations.

You have a good understanding of the possibilities of digitalization and see AI as a natural tool in future operational development. We also see that you have experience in process facilitation and a structured way of working where you can translate ideas and needs into concrete benefit in operations.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical skills and be able to create engagement, participation, and understanding among both managers and employees.

It is meritorious if you have experience from both the public and private sectors, as the role involves being able to combine different perspectives and ways of working in development work. We would also like to see that you have worked with benefit realization or effect management, and have experience working closely with management groups to support strategic development processes.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be able to switch between a strategic perspective and practical implementation. You work independently, take initiative, and have the ability to drive the work forward in a structured manner.

You are analytical and solution-oriented, have an easy time building trust, engagement, and good collaborations. The role also requires good communication skills where you can adapt messages and ways of working based on different target groups and operational needs.
