Our client is now looking for an Automation Technician, a key role within the maintenance department where you will combine technical expertise and improvement work in a high-tech production environment.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00–16:00, one Saturday every fifteenth week, and on-call duties may occur once you are more familiar with the role. The company is located in Kallhäll.

What the Role Entails

As an Automation Technician, you will have a central and developmental role where you contribute to stable operations and the future's smart production solutions. You work proactively with control systems and ensure they are both efficient and reliable. In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine technical knowledge with high-level problem-solving.

Your main responsibilities:

• Drive development and changes in control systems – from idea to operational solution in close collaboration with production
• Handle operational disruptions and quickly implement measures in urgent situations
• Support technicians and operators in troubleshooting and optimization
• Ensure quality and traceability through clear and structured documentation
• Build and develop collaborations with both internal and external parties
• Initiate and drive improvement work that increases availability, safety, and efficiency
• Participate in and lead problem-solving, from root cause analysis to long-term solutions

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who is at the beginning of their career in automation and wants to continue developing in a role with significant responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact. You have approximately 1–3 years of experience in the field and preferably a relevant education. You have an interest in technology and a good understanding of automated processes.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Basic knowledge of SCADA systems and SQL Server
• A good understanding of industrial processes and control systems
• Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience with industrial automation systems, such as Rockwell Automation
• Knowledge of process industry, such as food production
